Tungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital Showcases Innovations at the 2025 Taiwan Healthcare Expo
AI, Da Vinci SP Surgery, Aquablation, Cell Therapy, and Rehabilitation Lead Taiwan’s Medical Advancements
The 2025 Taiwan Healthcare Expo opened today at the Nangang Exhibition Center, where Tungs’ Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital marked its 54th anniversary by returning with an impressive multi-disciplinary showcase. Under the theme “All About Healthcare – Tungs’ Doctors Speak Out,” the hospital presented four days of medical innovation at Booth I632, featuring cross-specialty integration and the latest advances in AI emergency medicine, Da Vinci single-port robotic surgery, Aquablation therapy, cell-based regenerative treatment, and occupational rehabilitation.
This year’s exhibition highlights include the CoDoctor telemedicine system and AMR autonomous medical transport robot, developed in collaboration with Foxconn Technology Group, demonstrating how industry–medical partnerships accelerate clinical innovation. The Emergency Medicine Department introduced an AI voice-guided emergency assistance system designed to improve resuscitation accuracy and efficiency.
In minimally invasive surgery, Tungs’ Hospital showcased its milestone of surpassing 100 Da Vinci SP (single-port) robotic procedures, demonstrating advantages in urology and general surgery through reduced incision size, faster recovery, and enhanced surgical precision.
The Joint Reconstruction team also introduced autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy (ASCT) for knee osteoarthritis, reflecting Taiwan’s growing adoption of cell-based regenerative medicine. Additionally, the Occupational Rehabilitation Center presented its comprehensive return-to-work program, covering functional training, work simulation, and workplace assessments.
Lecture Highlights Presented in a Clear, Structured Format
Across four days, lectures drew strong participation from both the public and healthcare professionals. Below is an overview of the daily highlights:
