4. Important Notices for Inpatients
- Daily Routine
- If an inpatient needs to leave the hospital for special reasons, prior approval from the attending physician is required. The patient must also complete the leave procedure at the nursing station. Each leave is limited to four hours. Patients who leave without approval or fail to return within four hours will be regarded as having discharged themselves automatically.
- Each nursing station has a sunroom available for patients and family members. Opening hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
- Safety and Hygiene
- For safety reasons, the use of electrical appliances in the ward is strictly prohibited.
- To maintain ward hygiene, companions who bring meals must return tableware to the pantry within one hour after use. Patients with limited mobility should inform the meal delivery staff or nursing staff for assistance.
- To conserve energy and ensure the safety of patients and families, hospital access will be restricted after 10:00 PM. Family members who need to stay overnight to care for a patient must obtain a Caregiver Pass at the Inpatient Service Desk or the Emergency Department cashier counter, and must wear the pass when entering or leaving the hospital.
- Patients are advised not to bring valuables or large amounts of cash during hospitalization. The hospital is not responsible for any loss or theft.
- To ensure public safety, smoking and betel nut chewing are strictly prohibited throughout the hospital. We kindly ask patients and family members to cooperate in maintaining fresh air and a healthy environment for all.
※ For any questions, please contact the ward nurse or the inpatient service desk.
5. Guidelines for Companions and Visitors
Companion Guidelines
- Each inpatient may be accompanied by one caregiver only (including a hired caregiver).
- For patients who are children (under 12 years old), elderly (65 years or older), individuals with disabilities, or those assessed by medical staff as requiring additional care (e.g., limited mobility, inability to care for themselves), up to two companions are allowed.
- Individuals with COVID-19–related symptoms or those under self-health management are advised to avoid hospital visits. If companionship is necessary, a negative self-paid rapid antigen test result performed on the day of admission is required.
Visitor Guidelines
- Visiting hours are limited to one time slot per day. Each inpatient may receive up to two visitors at a time. Exceptions apply in the following circumstances:
- When the patient is undergoing surgery, invasive examinations, or treatments that require family presence, or when legal documents or consent forms must be signed in person by family members.
- For patients in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or palliative care units, when medical staff need to provide condition updates.
- When the patient’s condition deteriorates or during critical illness visits.
- Other special circumstances where visitation is deemed necessary and approved by the hospital.
- Visiting hours:
- ICU, Respiratory Care Ward (including RCC), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Nursery: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
- General Wards: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- Individuals with COVID-19–related symptoms or those under self-health management are advised to avoid hospital visits. If visiting is necessary, a negative self-paid rapid antigen test result conducted on the day of the visit is required.
6. Discharge Procedures
- With your physician’s approval, please notify the nursing station one day prior to your scheduled discharge. If you require any medical certificates or diagnosis documents, please request them at the same time to avoid delays. Once completed by the physician, bring them to Counter No. 10 on B1 for stamping and payment. In special cases, same-day discharge may be approved by the physician.
- Patients who wish to leave the hospital without physician approval must complete the Voluntary Discharge Request Form.
- On the day of discharge, please bring your discharge notice and prescription slip to the B1 Discharge Center for billing, and then proceed to the pharmacy to collect your medication.
- Please ensure that you take all of your personal belongings when leaving. The hospital is not responsible for any items left behind.
- If you require follow-up outpatient treatment after discharge, the International Medical Service Center can assist you with making an appointment.
